Midlands residents can soon get their carb fix in the form of pretzels. Philly Pretzel Factory will be opening a new location in Columbia. The National chain’s new store will be located at 2800 Rosewood Drive.

The business first started in 1998, in the Mayfair Neighborhood of northeast Philadelphia. Their concept was created to bake fresh, warm Philly-style soft pretzels all day. In 2004, the company began expanding, and now resides in 12 states with more than 150 locations.

According to the company’s website, Philly Pretzel Factory is the world’s largest Philly-style pretzel bakery. Their products are hand-twisted and made fresh daily at every location. The bakery offers specialized items from pretzel cheesesteaks, to party trays. They also give away a free pretzel to every visitor on National Pretzel Day (April 26).

Philly Pretzel Factory’s expansion to Columbia will be one of five new locations. The opening date has not yet been finalized. Their full menu and other information can be found at phillypretzelfactory.com.
