Palmetto Cafe in Lexington celebrated its grand reopening Tuesday with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The Lexington Chamber gathered at the restaurant to help celebrate the business opening.

Store manager Justin Kemmerlin said the ceremony was successful. "The ribbon cutting went well," Kemmerlin said. "This was my first ribbon cutting, but the this was the business owner's third one." He also expressed his excitement to be open and operating again.

Palmetto Cafe originally closed early this year due to COVID-19, and during the time of closure, new owner Eli Lykes made the decision to purchase the restaurant.

Menu items include sandwiches, wraps, salads and paninis. Gourmet cupcakes from Lita’s Treats are also available for purchase at the restaurant. Breakfast options are also available from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. daily.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Palmetto Cafe is located at 1070 South Lake Drive in Lexington.
