A new year means new reasons to celebrate. Drip on Main will host its eighth birthday celebration Jan. 12 at 1441 Main Street in Columbia.

Owner Sean McCrossin credits Columbia for being a supportive community. "We are very gracious to have the customers we have," he said. "Everyone has been super kind and patient with us and we are very happy to be a part of Columbia. These are obviously pretty difficult times so I hope when people come in it feels somewhat normal for brief moment."

He said customers can enjoy a free chocolate chip cookie with the purchase of a coffee or espresso beverage for their birthday celebration. All Drip t-shirts will also be half-priced that day.

Manager Tracey Ortiz said she is excited for the store's milestone and also thanked the community for their support. "If it wasn't for everybody we wouldn't be here for eight years," she said.

The store closed temporarily last March amid mandatory COVID shutdowns, but reopened for business in June.

"We’re just making it day by day and being as loving as possible to the guests who we missed during quarantine," Ortiz said. "We're staying safe while we're at work, we all wear our masks and are not doing a whole lot outside of work."

Current hours of operation at Drip's Main Street location are Monday-Friday 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
