Chapin-based business Boland’s Ace donated a pallet of fans to local nonprofit Chapin We Care Center on Thursday.
The organization has provided food and warmth to those in need within the Chapin community since 1986. It serves as an outreach ministry for churches in the Chapin, Little Mountain, Prosperity, Pomaria, Peak, and White Rock communities.
According to Boland’s Ace Vice President, Leigh-Ann Whitticar, the second-generation family-owned business has a reputation for giving back to the community it serves.
“We know that there is a deep need at this time,” she said. “We wanted to do a little something to let the community know that we care because it’s important that we serve the community that supports us.”
Partnering with organizations like Chapin We Care Center is one of many ways Boland’s Ace gives back to the community. Whitticar said each year, the family-run business sponsors The Newberry Boys Farm and Area Children’s Toy Drive and recently held a ‘Roaring 20s’ Sergeant Skippers Bunker party to help support the Fidelis Family. The event also featured a corn hole fundraiser to help support a local business owner and family with medical expenses.
