Carolina International Trucks

South Carolina's largest commercial truck dealer has new owners.

Carolina International Trucks, which has six locations in Columbia and across the state, has been purchased by Rechtien International Trucks, Inc. of Miami, Florida.

"We’re excited to align with a company that values the customers and employees as much as we do," said a statement released by Rechtien

Founded in 1992 by Dick Ryan, Carolina International Trucks is a full-service dealer representing the International, Hino, Idealease, IC Bus and Summit Trailers product lines.

Carolina International Trucks released the following statement regarding the ownership change.

We are committed to moving our business forward with innovation, backed by a dedicated staff and quality service. In pursuit of this commitment, we have made the decision to sell to Rechtien International. Rechtien International was founded in 1981 and has been serving the South Florida market for more than 40 years. As we move into the future under new ownership, we are confident this new leadership will build upon our values. We will continue providing high quality products and services while leveraging our size to provide additional value for our customers. This includes inventories, improved facilities, and customer support. The same team will continue to support your business. Our commitment to you is stronger than ever. We are excited about the new possibilities this creates and look forward to the synergy of this new group. Both companies have great talent and together we will find innovative ways to support your business in the future.
