Blue Flour Bakery’s Main Street location in Columbia will close its doors permanently after taking a hit from the COVID-19 pandemic. The closure was announced on the business’ Instagram page Wednesday.

The post read:

“Like so many other businesses, we've been impacted by COVID19 and unfortunately, this means we won't be reopening our Main Street location and it will be closing permanently.

It's been a fantastic 4 years on Main Street and we're so thankful to have had the chance to expand the business, meet new people and share our love of cookies.

The good news is Irmo will remain open and has expanded into brunch and our online store is ready for your order! You can still send your favorite treats to friends and family and visit us in Irmo for food, cookies, coffee, and gifts.

While change is hard, we're so excited for the future of Blue Flour and so thankful for all of you who make it what it is today.

Best,

Teri and the Blue Flour Team”

The bakery has been closed since March 16, due to COVID restrictions.

Blue Flour’s Irmo location will remain open at 7703 St. Andrews Road.
