Smells of breakfast will arise from North Lake Drive in Lexington come next spring.

Another Broken Egg Cafe will open at 929 North Lake Dr. across from Regal Northlake Village movie theater. The first Midlands location opened on Columbia's Garners Ferry Road in 2020.

"We recently opened a location on the other side of Columbia, on Devine Street, and that location is doing very well," said Jeff Sturgis, chief development officer of Another Broken Egg of America Franchising, LLC. "We like the Columbia market in general because of the demographics and Lexington in particular because it is one of the larger bedroom communities in the area along with a strong retail presence."

The breakfast/brunch spot features menu items including pancakes, waffles, French toast, shrimp 'n grits, eggs benedict, omelettes, sandwiches, a variety of side dishes and beverages.

Sturgis confirmed the location will open in March or April 2022. The restaurant will operate from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. daily.

Those interested in employment with Another Broken Egg Cafe will have the opportunity to apply beginning about 60 days prior to opening, according to Sturgis. He said the hiring period will likely begin in January or February of 2022.

"We will be looking for restaurant managers, front of house staff and back of house [kitchen] staff," he said.
