In less than two months, a “sweet” new business will be making its debut in Ballentine.

An advertisement mailed out to local residents announced that Dunkin’ is coming to 1131 Dutch Fork Road – across from Walmart.

According to the notice, the store will offer a new concept and look, only available at a few Dunkins nationwide. The location will feature:
-A clean, updated look inside
-Bakery cases along the front line
-State-of-the-art cold beverage tap system
-Nitrogen-infused Cold Brew Coffee steeped for 12 to 15 hours
-A line of grab and go snacks

Dunkin’s DJ Keen will be managing the Ballentine location. Keen has been senior manager of the Newberry store for more than a year, and said he’s excited for the move. “I grew up in the Ballentine area,” he said. “I’m happy to be back in my hometown, and I’m really looking forward to serving the people I’ve grown up around.”

According to Keen, the projected opening date for the new Dunkin’ is Oct. 28.

Other nearby Dunkin’ locations can be found on Lake Murray Boulevard in Irmo, and three in Lexington including 5225 Sunset Blvd., which just opened in May.
