Roseberry apartments in northeast Columbia open final phase
The Roseberry, a new high-end apartment community in northeast Columbia, unveiled the final of six phases of construction at a grand opening Thursday evening.
Several hundred guests and residents visited the two-story club room for hors d’oeuvres and beverages, and toured a model apartment and the pool area.
The community includes 285 one, two and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 751 to 1,523 sq.-ft. with monthly rents from $1,129 to $1,999. Apartments feature granite countertops, wood plank flooring, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets, high ceilings and full-size washers and dryers. In addition to the club room and pool, amenities on the smoke-free property include a business center, fitness center, dining room and rose garden.
The Roseberry first opened in November 2018 at 137 Roseberry Lane, a block off Two Notch Road across from the Brickyard Road intersection. The final phase was completed in June.
“There had been nothing new in the northeast in some time, particularly in the Wildewood and Spring Valley areas” said Jennifer Kemp, senior real estate manager at the property. “This community appeals to people who want to come out of their homes and no longer have that responsibility. It’s a park-like setting inside the city.”
The location was the draw for new tenant Tomiko Williams, 42, a state employee relocating from Greenville.
“I looked downtown and in the northeast,” Williams said. “I have friends on this side of town and family in Charlotte, which makes it convenient. I also like the amenities, the size of the apartment, and the luxury and elegance of it.”
The community is owned by Ascend Communities, which also owns apartment communities at Town Center in Lake Carolina, Creekside at Greenlawn, and Claussen’s on Greene Street in downtown Columbia. The Roseberry is now at 60 percent occupancy, Kemp said.
