There’s a new program that has developed as a collaboration between the Columbia Museum of Art and the SC Philharmonic. “Boyd Plaza Sonatas” is a free, engaging community event held at the newly renovated Boyd Plaza (1515 Main Street, Columbia), beside the art museum. The event will take place Tuesday, June 4, and Tuesday, June 11 from from 6 to 9 p.m.

There will be music, food, and drinks to kick off the summer season filling the plaza. A small mixed-strings ensemble from the South Carolina Philharmonic will play classical favorites along with some newer pieces throughout the evening.

Bone-In-Barbeque will be on-hand with a selection of small plates available for sale, and The Whig will have a cash bar with wine spritzers and local craft beer.
