‘World’s most flexible gym membership’ comes to Columbia

ClassPass, a monthly subscription service (think Spotify, but for working out), has made its way to Columbia.

Created in 2013, ClassPass was designed to give subscribers the opportunity to find the best workouts tailored to them in any gym across the city. Instead of joining one single gym, the service gives you “access to the world’s largest network of boutique fitness studios and gyms,” according to representative Semra Ilijazi.

But how does it work? When setting up an account, you fill out a profile stating your fitness goals. Once you are a subscriber, you’ll receive an allotment of credits to use each month.

There are all sorts of classes varying from cycling to yoga, available at all times of the day. Also included in the subscription is access to video workouts, class recommendations, and reviews. Memberships can be used in more than 2,500 cities worldwide. According to Ilijazi, there are 15,000 studios and gyms available for booking on ClassPass and millions of classes available.

Subscriptions start at $29 per month and are now available in Columbia. More information about ClassPass is available on their website.
