One of Lexington County’s favorite musical traditions wrapped up another season in style Saturday night.

A crowd of more than 100 came to the Wyman “Mac” Rish Riverwalk and Amphitheater in West Columbia for Rhythm on the River, with Prettier Than Matt and After September performing as twin headliners.

The concert series is provided free to the public by the Greater Cayce West Columbia Chamber, with local vendors offering food and drinks for sale.

“We have a lot of chamber volunteers that make this happen every single week,” said Chamber Executive Director Richard Skipper.

Rhythm on the River’s fall season will begin Friday, Sept. 27, and continue each Friday through October.

Skipper also offered the crowd a tease, saying that changes are coming to Rhythm on the River for spring 2020.

“We’re pretty excited about the changes,” he said. “It’s going to be a big deal for the area.”

More information about Rhythm on the River is available at the series’ Facebook page.
