Summer is quickly approaching, and the Town of Springdale is about to offer a fun and easy way for families to cool off. Town officials announced their Splash Pad will be reopening for the season beginning Thursday.

Business license and building permit clerk Jacquelyn Adams said they are happy to have it available to residents once again. “We’re very excited, we’ve had people call every day asking when it’s going to be open,” she laughed. “People have been very anxious.”

The Splash Pad will have two new equipment additions this year. According to Adams, one piece is a “tree dome” with water that pours out of the top, running down the dome. The other is a “toddler table” that projects water up from the center of the table (image visible in photo).

The Splash Pad is free and open to the public, and is now also ADA compliant. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. It’s located at 2915 Platt Springs Road.
