Lexington residents have been waiting for the return of the Chick-fil-A on Sunset Boulevard since it closed October 6. Now, after more than five months – the wait is finally almost over.

Officials prepared customers for the closure in September: “It is with a mixture of great excitement and a little sadness that we announce that we will be closing our store at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday October 6th,” the notice read. “Our construction crews have reached a point in the building of our new store that they need our space in order to continue their work.”

Projected re-opening dates were pushed back, after the original was predicted to be in January. However, an announcement on the Chick-fil-A sign noted that the store will re-open Tuesday.

The Lexington Chick-fil-A Facebook shared a picture of the sign, with a brief message: “We are so excited to officially announce our re-opening for Tuesday March 19 at 6:00 a.m.”  The store is located at 5560 Sunset Boulevard.
