A new attraction for the whole family to enjoy is scheduled to open in Irmo this year. Stars and Strikes Family Entertainment Center announced on their Facebook page that they will soon be coming to 800 Lake Murray Boulevard. The location has remained unoccupied since Piggly Wiggly closed years ago.

According to the company’s website, Stars and Strikes offers a variety of digital and physical games including bumper cars, laser tag, bowling, arcade games and virtual reality games. Food and (adult) beverages are also offered.

The business lists nightly specials on, including “99 cent Wednesdays,” where a game of bowling is only 99 cents per person. Another special is known as “Unlimited Tuesdays,” where guests choose one activity to enjoy unlimited play for $9.99 per person.

Stars and Strikes will cater to a late-night crowd on week nights, and even later on weekends. Their hours are listed as being open from 10 a.m. to midnight Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Fridays, 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Saturdays, and 9 a.m. to midnight Sundays.

There is still no word of a more specified opening date yet.
