Football note: Richland Northeast has hired a football coach. The last remaining vacancy has been filled as River Bluff assistant Justin Crocker was hired to lead the Cavaliers. Crocker has been one of the up-and-coming assistants on the rise in the Midlands lately. I have heard very good things going back to when he was on the Lexington staff with Josh Stepp a few years ago. Crocker coached offensive line for the Gators. River Bluff had a huge turn around going from a 2-8 season in 2017 to winning nine games last year.
Crocker takes over for Bennett Weigle who resigned after last season.
