Gamecocks rally for win over Razorbacks

South Carolina overcame a 13-point second half deficit and beat Arkansas 77-65 on Saturday.
With the win, the Gamecocks are now 12-11 and 7-3 in the Southeastern Conference.

The Gamecocks are a surprise, in fourth place in the SEC after going 5-8 in non-conference play.

Freshmen A.J. Lawson and Keyshawn Bryant scored 31 of South Carolina’s 46 second-half points. Lawson started things with back-to-back 3-pointers after Arkansas went up 50-37 with 15:30 to go. But the Gamecocks clawed back, and were up 59-54 with 8:45 left and the Colonial Life came to life with the rally.
Arkansas (14-9, 5-5) mustered one last run, going up 61-59 with six minutes left. But Lawson, Bryant and senior Chris Silva helped South Carolina end the game on an 18-4 run. The Gamecocks made 16 of their last 22 shots.
