Coroner says 2 deaths in Irmo are result of murder/suicide

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the names of the two individuals who died as a result of a shooting incident between 8 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Monday night at 209 Clarion Road, Irmo.

Tiana Perry, 23, of Clarion Road, Irmo, died at the scene. An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to shotgun wounds to the upper body.

Darius J-Von Williams, 25, of Clarion Road, Irmo, SC, died at the scene.  An autopsy indicated that the cause of death was due to a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.

At this time, Coroner Watts is ruling these deaths a murder/suicide.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and the Richland County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the incident.
