The South Carolina Philharmonic will present their fourth concert of the 2018/2019 Masterworks Series: Symphonie Fantastique! Saturday, Feb. 9. The show will feature pieces by Berlioz, Bizet and Tomasi.

Federal employees will receive a complimentary pair of tickets for the show at the Koger Center Box Office (1051 Greene St., Columbia). Their office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A valid ID must be presented at the box office for confirmation. The offer will continue through the night of the show, while tickets last.

Executive Director Rhonda Hunsinger provided a comment on their decision to offer free admission. “We hope that our concert can provide a brief respite from the uncertainties families are facing while the federal government is shut down,” she said.

According to Marketing and Communications Director Kristin Morris, even if the government shutdown is no longer occurring during the time of the show, the offer will still stand.
