There’s a new bakery in Harbison that just might cause a few people to break their New Year’s health resolutions.  Nothing Bundt Cakes bakes 10 different flavors of cakes in a variety of sizes, topped with homemade cream cheese frosting.

Assistant Manager Ruth O’Donnel said she realizes many people may not have heard of their store before. But those who have are excited to know the franchise now has a location in Columbia, according to O’Donnel. “They’re really excited and they’re like, ‘yay we’re so happy.’ Some people have gone to Charlotte or Greenville so they have heard of us,” she said.

The store offers bundt cakes in flavors including classic vanilla, chocolate chocolate chip, white chocolate raspberry, red velvet, confetti, carrot, lemon, marble, and pecan praline.  “We also have a flavor of the month,” O’Donnel said.  “Right now it’s snickerdoodle, and peanut butter swirl will be next month.”

Nothing Bundt Cakes has purchase-ready cakes in their store, but employees can also create made-to-order cakes for special occasions like wedding receptions or gender-reveal parties.

In honor of their opening, there is a buy-one-get-one-free special for “bundtlet” cakes (a smaller version of the traditional size), when customers sign up to be a member of their eClub.

The store will hold a grand opening ceremony Saturday at 10 a.m.  The first 50 guests will receive one free bundlet per month for a year. Samples will be offered, and kids can enjoy face painting, and balloon art.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is located at 131 Harbison Boulevard. Store hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. Sundays. Read more about the store on their website.
