59 Columbia restaurants to offer specials during state-wide 2019 Restaurant Week

It’s almost time for the tenth annual South Carolina Restaurant Week. The event is an 11-day celebration at hundreds of participating locations throughout the state, and 59 of them are in Columbia. A variety of restaurants from fine to casual dining, will feature special menu items, promotions, and discounts.

According to the organization’s website, the goal is to position the state as one of the top culinary destinations in the nation by increasing awareness of the dining opportunities available, while stimulating business and revenue for restaurants.

Scavenger hunt magnetic caps. Photo provided.

As part of the tenth year celebration, Restaurant Week is offering a new twist on its scavenger hunt. When people visit a participating restaurant, they should keep their eyes peeled for a small Soda City Cap magnet. If they discover a magnet, they can grab it, and post a picture with it on social media tagging Restaurant Week South Carolina (#RWSC). When they post the picture, they will receive a gift card to the restaurant inside of which they found the cap. They also get to keep the magnet. There will be 100 caps circulating throughout Midlands participating restaurants during the eleven-day Restaurant Week.

Menus vary from restaurant to restaurant. Participating locations will still be offering their standard menus, in addition to specials for the event. More information can be found at restaurantweeksouthcarolina.com
