Blythewood area residents have a new nearby spot for lunch, happy hour and dinner. McNulty’s Taproom officially opened Thursday with a ribbon cutting ceremony outside the restaurant at 420 McNulty Boulevard.

“I wanted to create a good place to eat with good, fresh food,” said Trippy Phillips, who co-owns McNulty’s with his wife, Julie, and partners Vanessa and Michael Faulk. “You could call it a gathering hole.”

McNulty’s offers fried and smoked wings, burgers and sandwiches, tacos and nachos, salads and appetizers, along with a full bar. It’s open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Phillips said the restaurant will begin offering daily specials next month, including $8 burger night on Tuesdays, pasta on Wednesdays, tacos on Thursdays, live music on Fridays, and a crab leg special on Saturdays. Additional drinks specials are offered throughout the week.

More information on the restaurant and specials can be found on their Facebook page.
