Chapin’s well-known lakefront restaurant and bar, The Frayed Knot, is now up for sale as of Wednesday afternoon. Real Estate company Douglas & Cannon posted the listing.

The announcement reads:
“Sitting on Lake Murray waterfront, this restaurant & bar has been smokin’ since the day they opened the doors. The owner purchased and transformed this property into one of Lake Murray’s coolest concepts… but now needs to step away to focus on his other business.”

The asking price has been listed as $2.6 million. According to the description, that includes the 2,090 sq.-ft. restaurant/bar, and the real estate immediately surrounding the building. Additional acreage is available if the new buyer is interested.

A closing date has not yet been set, according to one Frayed Knot employee. Operations are currently continuing as normal.
