Saluda Shoals Holiday Lights on the River opening in two weeks

It’s almost that time of year… when bright and colorful arrays of holiday lights are put on display at Saluda Shoals Park in Columbia.

The Holiday Lights on the River will begin Nov. 21 (the day before Thanksgiving).  According to Saluda Shoals’s information, more than one million lights will be incorporated into the display this year along with more than 400 animated light displays.  The drive-through Holiday Lights admission is $20 per car, $40 for 15 passenger vans, and $60 for buses.

In addition to the drive-through light display, there are activities for families within the park. There is a free laser light show and Wetland trail walk guests can enjoy.  Other activities include:

Riding the Saluda Shoals Park train ($2 per person)
Riding the Saluda Shoals hayride through the west side lop ($3 per person)
Slide on the Winter Wonder Ride Tube Slide ($2 per slide, or $10 for all-you-can-slide pass)
Holiday Lights Maze ($1 per person)
Make a craft ($1-5 per craft)
Roast marshmallows ($1 per stick)
S’mores kit ($2 each)
All-activity passes are available for $15 per person
