Families across the Midlands are invited to Ben Lippen School Saturday, to allow their children to touch and see a variety of vehicles that are used in local careers. “Touch-A-Truck” will provide kids with the opportunity to utilize their sensory skills, to “check out” different vehicles varying from big rigs, to tractors and fire trucks.

“It’s a unique opportunity for kids to meet the people who build, move and protect & serve our communities,” the announcement read.

Displays will also include the Culture Shock Monster Truck, a Darlington Raceway Pace car, the SLED bloodhound wagon, and several military vehicles.

Admission is free. Columbia-based food trucks will be on site to provide lunch.
Additionally, there will be a Red Cross blood drive at the event, with Chick-fil-A offering a coupon for a free chicken biscuit to everyone who donates blood.
Ben Lippen School is located on the campus of Columbia International University (7401 Monticello Road, Columbia). The event begins at 10 a.m. and finishes at 3 p.m.
