In an effort to help local children thrive in school, Kellogg’s and BI-LO are putting more books in more hands.

BI-LO donated grocery carts full of books to Edward E. Taylor Elementary School on Friday as part of its in-store promotion with Kellogg’s.

More than 30,000 books are being donated to Southeastern Grocers, parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Mas, Harveys and Winn-Dixie, to distribute to local communities as a result of BI-LO customers purchasing participating Kellogg’s products to earn credits in redemption for a book to keep or donate.
