Carolina Closet at the University of South Carolina reopened its doors on campus this week. The purpose of Carolina Closet is to give students easy access to business attire for professional development.

Started in 2015, Carolina Closet offers clothing, shoes, and accessories fitting for an interview, business expo, job fair, or other professional event. It can cost $150 or more to purchase a new professional outfit. With a Carolina Card, students can pick out up to five items they may need for their event, for free.

Student Body Vice President, Mills Hayes said she is excited to see the closet reopen. “I spent the summer working on the Closet renovations but didn’t see the impact it had on students directly until our special opening for the Darla Moore business expo,” she said. “This project has brought me so much unforeseen joy by providing this opportunity to students.”

Located in the Blatt P.E. Center, Carolina Closet is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Donations are accepted by the Student Government in Russell House, room 227. For more information, call 803-777-2654.
