One of Columbia’s most loved winter activities is moving to a new location and getting a new name.

Columbia’s Holiday ICE (once known as Main Street ICE), will relocate to the Harbison area at Columbiana Centre this year. In years past, the ice skating rink was set up on the corner of Main and Hampton Streets at Boyd Plaza. The new location will be set up in the overflow mall parking lot across from Dave & Buster’s and Red Robin.

The venue change is taking place due to construction and renovations that are underway at Boyd Plaza. City Manager, Teresa Wilson said she looks forward to working with the officials at Columbiana Centre to continue making this attraction possible.

“We hope families in Columbia and surrounding areas will make Columbia’s Holiday ICE an annual family tradition,” she said.

Price of admission has not been released yet, although city officials say it will be within the same range as years past. Skaters can hit the ice starting November 22 and continuing until January 21.
