Aside from a 45-minute rain delay, the Lexington Sportsarama at Lexington High School went without a hitch Friday night.
Seven Lexington County teams – Pelion, Lexington, River Bluff, Batesburg-Leesville, Gilbert, Chapin and White Knoll – took part in four 2-quarter scrimmages:

GAME ONE – Gilbert 19, Chapin 0
The Indians’ DeAndre Cook, DeAndre Harris and quarterback Jy Tolen all scored rushing touchdowns in the shutout win.
Gilbert’s second score was the result of deflected pass at the line of scrimmage caught by a diving Drew Howell for an interception. Howell also set up another score when he caught a pass at the Eagles’ 4-yard line from quarterback Josh Strickland who managed to recover an errant snap.
Chapin will once again play host to the Aun and McKay Classic at Cecil Woolbright Field Saturday.

GAME TWO – White Knoll 14, Pelion 0
Quarterback Aveon Smith rushed for a score in the shutout win by the Timberwolves.
Both teams will participate in Saturday’s Aun and McKay Classic. White Knoll will open the event against Mid-Carolina at 7 p.m., while Pelion will close it against Chapin at 9 p.m.

Lexington quarterback Kyle Herndon rushes for an 18-yard touchdown against Mid-Carolina.

GAME THREE – River Bluff 3, Batesburg-Leesville 0
Coltin Hallman kicked a 45-yard field goal with 45 seconds left to lift the Gators past the Panthers.

GAME FOUR – Lexington 7, Mid-Carolina 0
Quarterback Kyle Harndon scored on a 18-yard run in the second quarter for the lone score of the contest.
