Richland One schools and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for most of the Midlands, including Richland County. Due to the forecast for snow and the possibility of hazardous road conditions, Richland One schools and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
All school and district activities and events that were scheduled for Wednesday are canceled. District officials will continue to monitor conditions, and a decision will be made Wednesday about school and work schedules for Thursday.

Richland School District Two is canceling school on Wednesday, due to the Winter Weather Advisory issued for Richland County. All schools and district offices will be closed, and all activities, events and meetings are canceled.

The advisory, which is in effect from 2 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wednesday, states that snow and hazardous travel conditions are possible for our area.

In making this decision, Richland Two administrators considered the potential for compromised travel conditions for our parents, students, employees and school bus drivers; the timing of the possible winter weather; and, most importantly, the safety and well-being of our students.

District administrators will continue to monitor weather and travel conditions to determine if schedule changes beyond Wednesday are needed.
