Lexington man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor
Attorney General's Office to investigate
Jereme Michael Bowman, 27, of Lexington has been arrested on a charge connected to sexual exploitation of a minor, according to a release from the office of S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force made the arrest. Investigators with the Attorney General’s Office assisted with the case.
Investigators state that Bowman was involved in downloading and distributing child pornography via the Internet.
Bowman was arrested on Jan. 25. He is charged with one count Sexual Exploitation of a Minor Second Degree, a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
