(Updated) Lexington Police seek leads on missing teen girl
UPDATE: Sarah Danielle Barnes has been found safe.
In an email Tuesday, LPD Lt. Carroll Bledsoe stated:
“Ms. Barnes was located safe this morning in North Augusta and we are working with them on reuniting her with her family. Because of her juvenile status no further information is available concerning this case. Chief Terrence Green would like to thank the North Augusta Dept of Public Safety for the tremendous amount of effort last night and today that they put into locating this missing juvenile. Also thank you to all of our media partners for your assistance in getting the word out to the public.”
Original post: Sarah Danielle Barnes was reported as a runaway to the LPD by her family on December 17, according to Lt. Carroll Bledsoe, Jr.
Barnes was last seen at her residence on the night of December 16. Barnes is 16-years-old, 5-feet-tall, weighing around 100 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes.
According to Bledsoe, Barnes is believed to possibly be in the company of 19-year-old Aaron Nathaniel Johnson from the town of Trenton, located in Edgefield County.
