Bartlett Financial expands presence on Main Street in Lexington
A Lexington-based small business that also happens to be family-owned-and-operated is expanding on Main Street. Bartlett Financial officials are not just building new space for themselves, however, but say they also are creating opportunities for other businesses.
Founder Ron Bartlett and co-owner Heath Bartlett broke ground Tuesday on 5,000 square feet of office space. The building, which is behind the existing office, will be the new home of the wealth adviser firm. A third building approximately 4,000 square feet in size will round out the complex dubbed Patriot Point, named in honor of the Bartletts’ military service.
“We went back to our roots,” said Heath Barlett, an Army veteran. “We still believe there’s an American dream.”
Bartlett Financial was established in 1999 and offers financial planning, risk protection, tax planning and more for individuals, families and businesses. The company and its growing team, including two new partners, will relocate to the building currently under construction.
“Business expansion is just as important as new business,” said Randy Halfacre, president and CEO of the Greater Lexington Chamber.
Officials elected to use local contractors and suppliers like Master Construction of Chapin and Nucor Building Systems of Swansea.
The existing Bartlett Financial offices and the new Patriot Point building will provide more than 5,500 square feet of commercial Class A professional office space to the Lexington business community. The firm is pre-leasing the office space, and Office Manager Andrea Hallas said any business owner is welcome to inquire about setting up shop in Patriot Point.
The third building is estimated to be ready for tenants in February of 2015.
