Palmetto Health Foundation vice president earns national honor

Palmetto Health Foundation’s vice president of public relations is one of 15 people nationwide selected for induction into the Public Relations Society of America’s College of Fellows.

Amy Coward officially will be inducted later this year in Washington, D.C.

Coward has been with Palmetto Health Foundation since 2005 and served as chief operating officer at United Way of the Midlands for six years before that.

She has more than 30 years of experience in advertising, marketing and public relations, has earned the Accreditation in Public Relations distinction, and has been an active member of the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

The College of Fellows recognizes notable public relations leaders nationwide. College members provide mentoring for public relations professionals and students and create and sponsor a continuing education Master Class for advanced professionals each year.
