The Palmetto Health Foundation public relations department had a good year in 2013, as judged by its peers who recognized its accomplishments with three awards.

Palmetto Health won a Mercury Award of Merit and two Silver Wing Awards of Merit at the Mercury Awards, hosted by the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Mercury Awards recognize outstanding public relations programs and campaigns, and Silver Wing Awards recognize tactics used in those public relations campaigns.

Palmetto Health Foundation won its Mercury Award in the area of internal communications for the Walk for Life/Race for Life Employee Cutouts Campaign.

The Silver Wing Awards came for the department’s annual report and for creative tactics in the “One Morning. One Mission” campaign for Walk for Life/Race for Life 2013.
