Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative to hold annual meeting this week
The Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative annual meeting will be held Friday at Lexington High School.
Co-op members may begin registering at 5:30 p.m. Friday, and the business session will follow registration at 7:30 p.m. Members will vote to elect their fellow members to the board of trustees and also will vote on the candidates for the Nominating and Qualifications Committee. Co-op members qualified by the committee to serve on the board of trustees are J. Carey Bedenbaugh Jr., Allan Risinger and Eddie Best. The candidates for the Nominating and Qualifications Committee are Dwight Sease, John Brantley and James A. Chapman.
The Headliners of Hilton Head will provide live music during registration and after the business session. Members who register at the meeting will receive a $15 electric bill credit and will be eligible to win several prizes. Concessions will be provided by the Gilbert High School band, and a bake sale will be hosted by Mid-Carolina Electric’s Guide WIRE chapter.
Mid-Carolina Electric is a nonprofit electric distribution utility that serves more than 52,000 accounts in Lexington, Richland, Saluda, Aiken and Newberry counties.
