Derek “Speaker Knockerz” McAllister, Jr., 19, pursued his passion for producing music and rapping
Derek “Speaker Knockerz” McAllister, Jr., of Columbia, died March 4, 2014, at the age of 19.
Mr. McAllister was born Nov. 6,1994, and from an early age, he recognized his gift for music and pursued his passion for producing and rapping. He has produced such artists as, French Montana, Gucci Mane, Lil’ Scrappy and a host of others. He attended Ridgeview and Westwood High Schools.
He is survived by his mother, Mesha Wilson; father, Derek McAllister, Sr.; brother, Christian McAllister; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Leevy’s Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel. A celebration of his life will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Columbia Soundstage, 1800 Blanding Street. A viewing will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Bibleway Church of Atlas Road followed by a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m.
