Entourage Clothing and Gifts will hold its grand opening at 10 a.m. March 7, offering women’s clothes, shoes and accessories, as well as gifts and small home goods like candles, soaps and picture frames.

District Manager Kristen Alexander says the store’s style is mostly junior contemporary and that college students make up a big part of the store’s clientele. College kids, however, aren’t the only customers at Entourage.

“That’s our niche,” Alexander said, “but we have something for all ages.”

And everything for sale at Entourage, from dresses to shoes, has a price of less than $42.

Alexander spoke to Cola Daily as she and Columbia employees worked Friday to get the new store at 701 Lady St. ready for the opening. Six local employees already are on board, but the new store still is hiring. Applications are being taken at the store or online.

Entourage opened its first store in Athens, Ga., in October 2008 and has expanded rapidly since. The company now has branches in Georgia in Statesboro, Kennesaw and Carrollton as well as in Clemson.

In keeping with its niche, all the branches are in cities with colleges or universities, and Alexander said she’s very excited about the new store in Columbia. For a sneak peek at what the store has to offer, visit the company’s website.
