Men charged with performing sex acts in public

A Lexington man and a St. Matthews man were arrested Monday in Lexington County after allegedly performing illicit sex acts in public.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested 38-year-old Stephen Lee Grissom of Lexington and 45-year-old Edward Rose of St. Matthews at a Saluda River boat landing on Radio Lane near Irmo. Both are charged with performing indecent sexual acts in public.

Sheriff James Metts said deputies began an undercover investigation after complaints from residents of people having sex at the boat landing.

An undercover deputy said he witnessed Grissom and Rose participating in a sexual act in public view around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

 2 arrested in separate domestic violence cases

Two men were arrested Tuesday in connection with separate and unrelated domestic violence cases in Lexington County.

Brandon Joseph Brown, 24, turned himself in Tuesday. He faces a charge of criminal domestic violence.

Danny Ray Suggs, 38, was arrested Tuesday on charges of criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and kidnapping.
