The Town of Springdale now has a new restaurant that will serve the thousands of commuters traveling on Platts Springs Road each day.

The second of three new locations to be built in recent months in the Midlands, Bojangles’ opened at 3301 Platt Springs Road on Oct. 21. Representatives from the Town and West Metro Chamber of Commerce organized a ribbon cutting for the restaurant Tuesday to welcome Bojangles’ officially to Springdale.

The nationwide restaurant chain opened the doors on another new location this summer. The location near the Target shopping center began serving customers May 30 at 5165 Sunset Blvd.

A third location, a second on Sunset Boulevard, is nearly ready to open. Just across from Lexington Medical Center, a new restaurant is being built at 2865 Sunset Blvd. Bojangles’ representative Hannah Kunkel said it’s expected to open in late November.

The second Sunset Boulevard restaurant is the final new Bojangles’ location planned for the Midlands for the rest of the year, Kunkel said.
