YMCA

The YMCA of Columbia Camps offers a mix of fun and educational activities aimed at improving kids’ well-being. Our program centers on three areas proven to impact kids’ development: friendship, accomplishment and belonging.Through the Y’s day camp program, kids participate in fun and educational activities that help them grow.  Campers Will:

  • Learn and master skills that help them realize their passions, talents, and potential;
  • Build friendships with new friends and staff role models, adding to their well-being;
  • Help them feel like they belong so they feel safe, welcome and free to express their individuality.

Hammond School

Hammond offers highly individualized camps and programs that provide something of interest for every age and grade — from three years-old through adult. Our broad array of programs is designed to provide opportunities to develop talents, acquire new skills and knowledge, or explore something that piques your interest.  If you are seeking a full-day summer program, looking for supplemental academic programs, an athletic workshop, or want to try your hand at an arts class, you’ll find it Hammond.

Columbia College

Columbia College offers many options for students, whether looking to learn new skills, stay active or just have fun this summer!  Programs include prestigious and empowering leadership camps; programs in dance; and day camps where you can polish your skills in sports and develop your creative writing.

Carolina Aquatics

Teach your child how to swim, or how to compete!  Carolina Aquatics offers  year-round warm water swim lessons for all levels!

City of Columbia Parks & Recreation Department

The Columbia Parks & Recreation Department offers a variety of summer programs for children from May 30 to August 11. Whether you are looking for a full-day camp or a specialty camp tailored to your child’s interest, we’ve got something for you.

Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission

A wide variety of FUN, active summer and day camps for all ages, abilities, and interests are offered at Seven Oaks, Crooked Creek and Saluda Shoals Parks.

Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission

The Lexington County Recreation & Aging Commission’s summer camps strive to offer children an affordable camp experience that includes activities, arts & crafts, and field trips, all planned in an effort to keep children as busy, entertained, and active as possible.

Richland County Recreation Commission

The Recreation Commission offers great summer programs which provide children with unique and affordable opportunities.  They will enjoy  fun recreational activities such as swimming, exciting field trips, and creative arts & crafts projects in a safe environment with trained staff.

SC State Museum

The South Carolina State Museum is excited to offer summer camps for 2017. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different camps while exploring the museum, experiencing 4D and planetarium shows, and engaging in problem based educational activities and STEM projects throughout the day.

USC String Project-School of Music

Students in grades 3 through high school hone their skills and learn from experienced teachers and graduate students. The camp fosters the excitement of developing skills on an orchestral string instrument and is open to students who have completed one year of instruction.
