Cola Daily seeks an energetic and tech-savvy multimedia journalist who is excited about sharing the news and events that shape our communities. Candidate chosen to join our team should demonstrate a passion for delivering timely, important and interesting news stories that affect the lives of local residents.

Required skills & experience:

Minimum of one year news reporting experience
Self-starter with a desire to seek out and write interesting stories
Proficient with digital/social media platforms such as websites, Facebook, Twitter, etc
Ability to capture the visual aspect of a story with basic photography skills
Comfortable interacting with people of all walks of life
Have a positive and professional attitude and able to represent our brand well

Desired additional skills & experience:

Working knowledge of and experience with WordPress
Understanding of digital analytics
Basic graphic design
Radio or TV on air experience
Bachelors degree in journalism

Job Responsibilities:

Prospect, market, sell and service advertising to new businesses; build and maintain positive working relationships with existing clients; and sell additional company products and services to both new and existing clients. In addition, candidate will prepare campaign schedules, promotional ideas, negotiate business contracts and achieve revenue goals. This position requires the individual to make face-to-face calls on current clients and new prospects. Individual must have a valid state issued drivers license as well as auto insurance. Other duties as assigned by company.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum broadcast/print media sales experience of 3+ years preferred.

Work Schedule:

Work schedule hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Attendance at company meetings and/or events which may fall outside normal Monday through Friday schedule may also be required.
