Former Gamecock, NFL punter Max Runager’s death ruled accidental

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office released the cause of death for Max Runager Wednesday. Runager is a former USC and NFL punter. Runager, 61, died on Friday, June 17 in Orangeburg. He died from a blood clot resulting from a recent injury, according to Orangeburg County Chief Deputy Coroner Sean Fogle. The coroner’s office ruled the death as accidental. USC Athletics…

The University of South Carolina mourns the loss of former Gamecock great, Max Runager, who passed away on Friday. Runager was 61 years old. The University of South Carolina is seeing an increase in enrollment. USC’s 2017 freshman class is expected to be 5,600 to 5,700 students,. The 2016 freshmen enrollment was 5,036. Gamecocks miss NCAA baseball tournament

USC will not be included in the NCAA’s postseason baseball tournament this year. It’s the second time in three years the Gamecocks have missed out on the tournament.
