State’s unemployment rate hits record low in April

The unemployment rate in Richland County fell to 3.5 percent in April from 3.9 percent in March. In Lexington County, the unemployment rate fell to 3 percent from 3.4 percent in March. Brookland-Cayce High School baseball player Tristan Watts has signed a college scholarship letter to play baseball with Mount Vernon Nazarene University in Ohio. Watts signed Friday.
