Loftis removed from pension investment commission, issues statement

South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis said he was removed from the pension investment commission today. The commission manages investments for the state’s public-sector employees. In the fall it was discovered that South Carolina’s unfunded pension debt could be as high as $40 billion.
