An individual or group is posing as representatives of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, according to a RCSD report issued Monday afternoon. Two people shot in the Two Notch/Parklane Road area of Richland County

Two people were shot at the intersection of Two Notch Road and Parklane Road, Saturday, according to a Richland County Sheriff Department report. Deputies were called the Two Notch at Parklane area about noon. The sheriff’s department reports that two people were hit by gunfire in the middle of the street. They were taken to the hospital. 17-year-old killed, Columbia Police seek suspects

Columbia Police Department investigators continue to follow leads in a shooting investigation which led to a collision that killed a 17-year-old Eau Claire High School student last week. Coroner releases identity of Lake Carolina drowning victim

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts has released the name of the individual who died Sunday afternoon after apparently slipping into Lake Carolina at the spillway. The incident occurred at approximately 2 p.m. in, Columbia. The body of Jaylan Antonio Jones, 13, of Marsh Point Drive, Columbia, was recovered from the south end of Lake Carolina.  Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. …
