Richland District Two schools dismissing early Wednesday

Richland School District Two will dismiss early Wednesday, due to the potential for winter weather that may impact travel conditions. Middle schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Elementary schools will dismiss at 1 p.m. High schools will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. All after-school events and activities, including after-school care, are canceled at all schools and district facilities.

SCANA to be sold to Dominion Energy, SCE&G customers to get refunds, rate reduction

2017 traffic fatalities fewer in Richland County, higher in Lexington County

With just one more weekend left in 2017, statistics reveal that there were fewer, by far, traffic fatalities in Richland County this year, than the year before. An individual or group is posing as representatives of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, according to a RCSD report issued Monday afternoon. People are being asked to call 803-477-3056 for information on fake incidents (i.e. fake shootings.)
