The Richland County Sheriff’s Foundation is a group of citizens who volunteer their time, their talents, and their resources for the betterment of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
The Sheriff’s Foundation’s primary objective is to equip deputies with the tools necessary to perform their duties safely, and enable them to provide effective and efficient protection to Richland County Citizens and visitors. Foundation members understand that in these financially difficult times, agency budgets are being trimmed and only the most basic law enforcement functions are being funded.
Since 1995, Foundation members have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. These funds have been used to buy life-saving equipment such as bullet –proof vests and walkie-talkies, proactive enforcement programs like the Bike Patrol, and community policing initiatives like the “Kid Print” program. Additionally, RCSF funds are used to assist families of duties killed in the line-of-duty, and deputies who are experiencing hardships due to illness or injury.
