Fiery crash on I-26 in Lexington County Sunday leaves 1 dead
A collision between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer early Sunday morning resulted in the death of one person.
In Lexington County, at about 3 a.m., a 2016 Hyundai was traveling the wrong way in the east bound lane of I-26, near milemarker 119, according to Lance Cpl Matt Southern of the S.C. Highway Patrol. The Hyundai collided with a 1999 Mack truck. The vehicles ran off the interstate and caught fire, said Southern. The driver of the Hyundai died in the accident.
