Winter Weather Advisory issued for Richland and Lexington counties

There is a prediction for “wintry precipitation” at several locations in South Carolina, Wednesday.

And the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Richland and Lexington counties, in addition to Kershaw, Edgefield, Columbia, McCormick, Newberry, Fairfield, Saluda and Lee counties. the advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The advisory means snow is expected. The accumulation total could be up-to one inch in some areas. The National Weather Service in Columbia warns that the weather could cause slippery road conditions for Wednesday morning.
